This is the rarest of all the Rolex watches I have posted this year. This ref. 4118 solid-18k-gold Rolex is chronometer grade with its very fine (and just serviced) manual winding 18 jewel Rolex movement having six adjustments. This large Rolex watch dates to 1945 and has a spectacular 35.5mm solid-gold-case with flared lugs. This watch looks very large on the wrist due to the narrow bezel and all-dial appearance. Rolex watches this size are especially rare to find from this era. The original gold dial has even aging and looks spectacular. The blued-steel hands are original as well. This watch appears to have been barely polished over the years. You would be hard-pressed to discover another.
