Description
This 1945 (354XXX serial number) Rolex Oyster is a rare find that is seldom seen! The ref. 4499 stainless steel Rolex Oyster case with original cross-style (Brevet) winding crown is full sized at 34.5mm and is glistening all around! The case appears sleek and slim on the wrist at only 11mm including the crystal. The dial is completely original, having raised, gold-coloured markers, and matching hands, along with blued steel sweep seconds. We have preserved the dial with all its aging and history, as original 1940s Rolex dials are being refinished at an alarming rate and will soon be rare to find. The manual winding Rolex movement was just cleaned and is accurate. On the wrist, this Rolex looks fantastic. We love the vintage and original look that this watch exudes! We installed a vintage snakeskin black band that looks excellent!
