Description
This 31mm Oyster Chester (made by Rolex) is quite uncommon. The original Oyster case by Rolex retains the original and uncommon Oyster-patented screw-down winding crown. The steel case looks amazing for its circa 1947 production. The original dial and pencil hands also look incredible. I love the patina this dial has adopted! The original Tudor manual winding movement was just cleaned and is accurate. This is a mid-sized watch – not too small and looks great on the wrist. This watch as well as the Essex, Bristol, Devon, and London were all produced by Rolex in the 1940s and 1950s for the commonwealth market. These Oyster watches are very collectable and becoming quite difficult to find.
