Description
This is the earliest Omega Seamaster I’ve ever found. This watch dates to 1948 and has the earliest automatic bumper winding movement ever produced by Omega; being the caliber 28.10 Ra Sc Pc with a fine regulator and 17 jewels. This dial and Dauphine handset are both completely original and have the original raised gold-toned Arabic numerals, arrow markers, and lovely patina. The stainless steel 2491-1 case measures 34mm with the teardrop lugs extending it to 44mm. Notice the large sub-seconds. This is the first time I’ve ever found one of these after 30 years of collecting! This is an important Omega for the collector.
