Description
This 33mm 1950 Omega from United-Kingdom-retailer CH Moody & Son is an uncommon find. This U.K. jeweler is still operating and selling watches since 1883. There is usually a premium added when we find a watch with a retailer’s name on the dial. This dial is truly special, because it is a rarely-seen, all-original, and Patek-Philippe-like with its sunken dot markers. It has marks, but really looks subtle, vintage, and fine on the wrist. Notice the large sub-seconds. I think the steel, polished Dauphine hands were replaced at some time. The original steel Omega case is ‘Calatrava-like’ (also uncommonly found) with a simple polished bezel, lugs, and Dennison (original) contract snap-back. The Omega winding crown is signed. This manual winding Omega movement is accurate after being cleaned.
