Description
This is a superior example of a vintage 1950s Breitling ref. 809 Cosmonaute having an unpolished stainless steel 41mm case with the lugs retaining their sharp beveled edges. The manual winding Venus 178 chronograph movement was just cleaned and is accurate. The 24-hour dial and hands are completely original, as is the inner turning bezel. The correct Breitling winding crown is also present. This is a true pilot’s watch, with the hands going around the dial only once in a 24-hour period. These all original vintage Breitling examples are becoming hard to find these days.
