This is an unused 18k solid-gold with steel back Cortebert Sport oversized automatic vintage watch dating to the 1950s. We just purchased this watch (and others) from a jeweler’s old, unsold stock that was placed in a safe from the 1950s and never worn! The case is (tested and guaranteed) heavy 18k gold and the case back is stainless steel. This watch is a larger 35.45mm and 43.7mm lug-to-lug (with curved lugs). The original silver dial is pristine. That is a shadow in the photograph on the dial. The very fine an early Cortebert bumper automatic movement was just cleaned (for the first time) and is very accurately keeping time. There is substantial amount of 18k gold in this case.
