Description
This 1950s 36.5mm Glycine Airman is as rare as it gets. This watch is complete, as purchased for the original owner with box, rare original and early booklet, original advertisements that the owner kept, and a note he typed to Glycine! Furthermore, this rare and early watch is the first version of the Airman, having a rare white (silver) dial and handset. The hands were likely re-lumed at some time. These silver, original dials are very difficult to find. Notice the early 10-sided case back. These early watches had a non-crosshatched crown. This Felsa 692 movement is working perfectly, including the hacking seconds. Notice the two service records included – one from 1972 and one from 2007. The original and uncommon early birchwood box is deeper than the 1960s boxes.
