Description
This is a vintage, 1950s Photo Flip watch made by the Swiss company Remee. The 22.5x35mm gold-filled case having curved lugs, flip-up top, and stainless steel back is excellent with no wear through on the top or sides of the watch – only (usual) wear under the lugs where it is expected and not visible! These watches were meant to display a photo of a loved one on the underside of the front cover when popped up. It is easy to shrink a digital photo, print it and place it under the cover – what a great gift for someone! The jet-black, glossy dial is very alluring! The manual winding Swiss movement was just fully overhauled, cleaned, and is keeping time very well. These Photo Flip watches are becoming rather uncommon.
