Description
This is a 1950s Tudor Oyster Automatic, housed in an oversized, 34mm case with wide polished bezel and original Rolex Oyster crown. Let me start by saying this is the first time we have found one of these elusive bumper winding movements. These watches are extremely rare, as all other Tudors have rotor automatic movements. This early 1950s watch has a spectacular, original dial with raised, gold-toned markers and matching pencil-style hands. Notice the word “AUTOMATIC” on this dial, normally, we see the words “SELF WINDING” and that is what differentiates this watch to an ordinary Tudor automatic. This automatic winding movement was just cleaned by our Rolex-approved watchmaker and is keeping accurate time.
