1950s Tudor Oyster Prince Small Rose

Description

This uncommon 1950s Tudor Oyster Prince Small Rose came from the family of the original owner. The dial, dagger hands, blued sweep seconds are all original and have wonderfully aged. This is a very collectible dial, having the Rolex Explorer 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 configuration, small rose insignia, and curved “SELF-WINDING” print. The correct Oyster-patented early winding crown is still present and has lots of thread turns. The robust 34mm steel case has never been polished and looks very good with only nicks on the rear knurling. This watch houses the desirable caliber 390 Tudor automatic winding movement which sparkles after a recent service and is accurate. This movement alone is quite valuable, as it is used in the $10,000 Tudor Submariners from the 1950s and 1960s. These are becoming hard to find.
