Description
Here is a 34mm 14k solid-gold Eatons Quarter Century Club Rolex dating to 1953. These watches were given to employees of the Canadian Department store Eaton’s for 25 years of service and were contracted by Rolex to produce. This particular model is a manual winding ref. 6222 solid-gold Rolex Oyster case. It has original patina, no dings or scratches, and was enhanced with the elaborate inscription on the rear. These were amongst the very few watches produced by Rolex to appear without their name on the dial. This watch also retains the original Rolex winding crown. The movement is the original 17-jewel manual winding, highly reliable workhorse, which was just fully cleaned, serviced, and is keeping excellent time. This dial with applied letters is extremely clean with original Dauphine-style hands and sweep seconds.
