Description
This is a very uncommon mid-sized 32mm stainless steel Omega automatic winding vintage watch dating to 1954. The Omega ref. 2828 was introduced in 1954 and housed the Omega caliber 471, along with the caliber 470. These were Omega’s first automatic movements to offer a full rotor winding system, which was an improvement over the earlier bumper automatic mechanism. This black waffle dial with silver gilt print and original Dauphine hands is simply stunning! This dial and lume is completely original. The caliber 471 movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. The correct Omega winding crown is installed. This is a historically important vintage Omega – not to mention it looks fabulous. This is the original velvet box to this watch!
