Description
This is amongst the first Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorers produced, dating to the first quarter of 1954. This ref. 6352 35mm large-sized (same as Explorer of the same era) stainless steel case with solid-gold bezel and winding crown is as clean as you will find with no dings or scratches. The original dagger-style hands and completely original, beautifully toned honeycomb dial has evenly aged, providing a warm and consistent vintage glow throughout. This watch takes a 20mm band. The Explorer was in its experimental stage in 1954 and this watch was only produced for the Commonwealth market in the early years. The automatic winding Rolex A296 movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time.
