1954 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Turn-O-Graph

Description

This is an extremely rare 35mm 1954 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Turn-O-Graph, with an original honeycomb, pristinely restored, (re-printed) dial that retains the original gold-toned markers, Dauphine, pitched hands and blued steel sweep seconds. The honeycomb dial is one of the rarest versions to be found on this watch. Even though we refinished the dial (it was too far gone) we faithfully restored it to its original splendour. The original ref. 6202 stainless steel case shines like new with minor marks from its 54 years of use. The ultra-rare, metal, turning bezel is completely original factory Rolex and the insert is an aftermarket replacement. Often, these bezels popped out, or the entire bezel disappeared. The fact that the brass bezel itself is original Rolex adds much value to this predecessor to the Submariner. The Turn-O-Graph was the first watch to offer the rotating bezel by Rolex. The original rotor winding caliber 620 movement was just dismantled, cleaned and is accurate.
