This very uncommon Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust with crisp 14k solid-white-gold thunderbird bezel and winding crown is all original. This is an early Rolex Datejust dating to the second quarter of 1958. Finding these watches with a solid-white-gold bezel is quite rare. Add to this, the original black dial is also quite uncommon, having both gold and silver gilt printing, with Dauphine hands, arrow markers, and alternating (roulette) red-and-black date. The ref. 6609 stainless steel Rolex steel case is without any major dings or scratches. The automatic winding Rolex movement is the caliber 1065, which is chronometer-certified, and adjusted to six positions. We installed a black leather band. These earlier thunderbird Datejusts are becoming very hard to find in clean and original condition.
