This is a 1960 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Date serial 515xxx in two-tone. This is an early version. The 34mm case has a 14k gold bezel and crown with matching arrow markers and Dauphine hands. The case is all correct…the back says reference 5500 and the case (between the lugs) had 5500 and Rolex corrected it to 5501 where over the “0” is stamped a “1.” We often see these types of cases and dating anomolies on these early Rolex watches. The automatic caliber 1530 movement is accurate. The folded Rolex Oyster bracelet dates to 1971. I love this original dial!
