Description
In the 1960s, the Rolex Submariner was the standard in dive watches. Some companies emulated the look, but none did it better than Squale. This 1960s to early-1970s Eagle Star Squale is housed in a stainless steel 37mm case having a screw-down crown and crown guard just like the Submariner. The turning bezel is missing the pearl (like many Submariners) and its aging lends a great vintage appeal. The dial is completely original with a quickset date feature, Mercedes hands, which are again similar to the Rolex Submariner. The automatic winding Swiss movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. There are a few marks on the case side, but nothing detracting. The beveled edges have not been polished away. Most will think you are wearing a Submariner! This is a highly collectable and fine vintage watch.
