Description
Classic and simplistic style emanates from this 1960s vintage, automatic winding Enicar Sherpa Date 25 Swiss-made watch! The 34.5mm stainless steel (13mm thick) case is chunky, yet subtle; similar to a ‘beefy lug’ Omega from the 1950s. The downturned beefy lugs and stainless steel screw-back case is in fine (shiny) condition overall. The original silver dial has the usual and slight aging associated with a 1960s vintage watch…all very even with no major stains or scratches as you can see – a great vintage glow to the dial! Notice the bubbledate crystal, steel markers, sweep seconds, and radium-style hands. The modern-day watch company Chrono Swiss bought out all the Enicar-factory movements from the 1960s and 1970s, and features them in their new watches priced in the thousands of dollars! The automatic winding Enicar movement is devine with full rotor action that just glides like silk. It was just cleaned, overhauled, and is keeping time quite well.
