I simply love this sprawling 1960s vintage Gigandet chronograph in stainless steel measuring 41mm. Gigandet was produced by Wakmann, which in fact was manufactured by Breitling. Look at the exotically toned original dial with original baton hands and contrasting chrono registers. The vibrant chrono hand lends a visual ‘pop’ to the whole piece. The turning steel bezel displays great condition, as does the entire chunky steel case. The Landeron 248 movement was just cleaned and is accurate. The top pusher starts the chronograph while the bottom pusher both stops and resets the chrono hand. We rarely find such striking original-dial watches such as this.
