Description
The Grand Seiko 5722-9991 Self-Dater appeared in 1963 and was produced until 1969. This later 1960s version is more desirable, featuring the 35-jewel, high-beat, manual-winding movement, which was recently serviced and is working very well. The 36.5mm, beefy, angular-lug steel case carries all the Grand Seiko DNA you would expect, including sharp-edged, polished dauphine-style hands. The correct winding crown is installed. The original dial, with its reflective steel baton markers, looks fabulous. It is so difficult to find original and unpolished examples such as this. These vintage Grand Seiko watches look spectacular on the wrist.
