Description
Here is a very rare, vintage, ultra-slim, 1960s 14k solid-gold Lucien Piccard world time micro-rotor automatic winding watch with enamel dial! This is a very uncommon watch having a fired-enamel, azure-blue dial showing the time zones across the world with hours for easy time calculations anywhere! The raised dial is amazing with applied metal world map figures, and gold sword hands, which are all in spectacular condition. There is minor and usual ‘crazing’ (like one would see on old pottery) that is visible only extremely close up and not while wearing. The signed case is very slim at 9mm including the crystal, 34mm across, and 41mm with the sprawling lugs. The micro-rotor, Lucien Piccard movement was cleaned and is keeping time quite well! This case is fastened with screws at 12:00 and 6:00. World-time watches are amongst the most desirable of all watches.
