Description
This vintage, 1960s, stainless steel Nivada Taravana auto-racing chronograph is truly spectacular and exotic! The original contrasting dial with black sub-registers, and bright orange accents is enhanced with a sunken tachymetre bezel and date at 6:00, making it truly beautiful to gaze upon! The screw-back, signed stainless steel case measures 35.8mm and 13.2mm thick, including the crystal. It is scratchless and glistening like platinum! Notice the detail that has gone into producing the baton hands, providing more contrast for easy readability! The Nivada, signed, manual winding Valjoux 7734 movement was recently cleaned, overhauled, and is accurate! Notice the rally style racing band we have installed on this watch. We visually seek out fine vintage watches and is rare to find one that looks so great! The history of Nivada can be traced back to the early 19th century, to a small locality called Grenchen, Northwest of Switzerland. Interestingly, the company name has been revived and still produces fine watches to this day.
