Description
This is an extremely clean, 1960s vintage Wakmann triple-date chronograph in stainless steel measuring a grand 37mm across, and 13.5mm thick including the crystal. The two-tone black dial is completely original and in fine condition overall! The original steel baton hands are quite prominent, wide, and paired with nicely toned baton dial markers and a red chronograph hand. Functions include day, date, month, 30-minute counter, 12-hour counter, and the usual hours/minutes. Notice the original polished pushers and winding crown. The highly regarded and finely gilded Valjoux 730 manual winding movement is in fine overall condition and is working like silk! This Wakmann complication is a fine and extremely clean example to add to any vintage watch collection! This complication becomes more attractive since it has the original rare box and guarantee/instruction manual along with what appears to be the original Hong-Kong-made bracelet. We think the bracelet is original, but are not certain. Fortis Watch Co. also used bracelets from Hong Kong on their watches.
