Description
We are pleased to find this all-original and rather uncommon Hamilton Electric Vega housed in an eccentric, trapezoidal, gold-filled case (without wear) and having an engine-turned pattern on the dial and lugs. This watch was produced for only two years with estimated production of 4800. The case is quite striking and modern in its design, which was certainly far ahead of its time. The caliber 505 Hamilton Electric movement is quite accurate. Notice the Dauphine hands inset with black enamel. The dial is original, having radiating lines extended from the middle, red-tipped sweep seconds, and raised, gold markers. It is uncommon to find these watches with their original and untouched dials such as this. This circa 1962 Hamilton also retains its original winding crown. Perhaps the most appealing enhancement of all is the original and rare Hamilton Electric box that is included with this watch.
