Description
This is an amazingly preserved ref. 6427 Rolex Oyster Royal dating to 1962. The watch was stored for decades and essentially – barely worn. The 34mm stainless steel case has a spectacularly clean engine-turned bezel and shimmering unpolished case. There is a tiny section of minor corrosion on the case-back from years of storage. The original and riveted 1963 Rolex Oyster bracelet has all thirteen links, and is virtually tight as it was sold new! Bracelets were commonly dated a bit earlier or later than the watch. The original silver dial on this watch is absolutely perfect; as are the mirror-like-lance-style hands. The manual winding Rolex Oyster movement is sparkling and accurate after a recent service. I can’t say I’ve ever seen a cleaner Rolex Oyster Royal in my years as a collector.
