Description
This Mido Ocean Star dates to 1966 and was stored for decades in a box and recently discovered. This watch comes complete with box, all papers and original 1966 receipt. The gold-filled case is a subtle 33mm with an all-dial appearance. Speaking of the dial; this one is amazing with a simple 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 Explorer-style layout. I love the stylized numbers. The original crown is small and finicky to set, but can be done with a subtle touch. The fine automatic winding Mido movement was just cleaned and is accurate. The band had rotted away, but the logo buckle is still present. What a great package.
