Description
Here is a fine example of an all-original pre-moon Omega Speedmaster from 1966 (ref. ST 105-012 66). The entire watch exhibits extremely clean condition, with sea-monster writing on the case rear and an original winding crown. The caliber 321 movement (considered to be one of the best chronograph movements of all time) is keeping accurate time after a recent cleaning. The dial is interesting, in that it does not have the word “Professional” written. 1966 was a transitional period. The ref. 145.003 cases are said to have these ‘non-professional’ dials, but like most watches, I have owned these 105-012 watches with this exact early and rare dial in the past.
