Description
This is a fine, fairly large and heavy 35.5mm 18k solid-gold 1968 Eterna Eternamatic 3003 having a stepped bezel and turtle-style lugs. This was a very high-end watch at the time and would have been rather expensive. Even the dial appears to be solid gold. The original winding crown and sapphire crystal are present. The original box and certification letter dating to 1976 are included. We purchased this watch from the original family, who’s uncle and aunt owned it. They lived in Parma, Italy and opened an English language school and personally tutored the children of the Parmalat family in Italy. This watch offers an air of sophistication on the wrist. The Eternamatic movements are legendary in their reliability and performance. We just had the movement fully serviced and it is running perfectly. The original signed band is included, but is worn. The original buckle is gold-plated and included with the new band we provided. This watch was barely worn over the years. This is a very fine 18k solid-gold vintage watch.
