1968 Omega Speedmaster

Description

It is always a great feeling to purchase a watch from the original owner, like this fine 1968 Omega Speedmaster. This watch is a rare bird as this was the transitional watch housing the caliber 861 movement and having the raised-steel-logo dial, which appeared on the caliber 321 only. For one year, this watch filled the gap before the moon watch came out in 1969, making it sought-after by Omega collectors worldwide. This watch has the correct dot-over-90 valuable bezel, which has not been replaced with a more modern, incorrect piece. The original dial with an applied metal Omega logo looks spectacular. This watch has never been polished and retains sharp lyre lugs and no major dings or scratches. All the lume is matching to the hands. Furthermore, the original full-length 1039 flat-link steel Omega Speedmaster bracelet dating correctly to 1968 is included and is very clean for its age. These bracelets are very valuable on their own. The watch is keeping excellent time and the chronograph function is flawless.
