Description
The Tudor Submariner is even better-looking than the Rolex Submariner in my opinion. This watch dates to 1968. This 40mm sparkling case retains the original bezel, which has amazingly aged to ‘ghost’ status. The original blue dial and lume looks great. I believe these snowflake hands are original to the watch based on the previous owner’s comments. Often the breakdown of the paint composition on these dials cause the lume to age differently than the hands. Notice the uncommon red-and-black (roulette) date. The crystal was likely replaced during a service at some time. The original Tudor automatic movement was just cleaned and is accurate. As you are aware, these Tudor Submariner snowflake watches have increased in value lately and will likely continue, as fewer Tudor Submariners were produced compared to the Rolex Submariner. The original Rolex Oyster bracelet displays fine shape. This is truly a stunning example on the wrist.
