1969 Doxa Sub 300T Sharkhunter

Description

This circa 1969 dive watch is an uncommon find. This particular Doxa Sub 300T Sharkhunter was worn and used regularly as a dive watch by its owner. The robust 43.5mm stainless steel screw-back case has never been polished and retains every little nick and bump…I love that! The dial and hands are original. Only the seconds hand has been re-lumed, which can only be noticed under ultraviolet light. This black dial is hard to find and is the shade utilized by Jacques Cousteau for deep diving, as black was more visible in deep water. Orange was better for shallow. The manual winding ETA for Doxa movement was just serviced and is accurate. This watch came with its expensive vintage Tropic rubber strap and correct steel buckle. This true tool watch by Doxa is a real collector’s piece.
