Description
This is an all-original vintage 1970 Rolex Air-King Date Precision in steel and measuring 35mm. There are some minor marks from normal use on the case. The original (uncommon) linen dial is flawless with all lume plots intact. This is the first time I’ve seen this dial variation. It has very light gold-toned markers, steel Rolex crown insignia, and original steel hands with matching lume. I actually believe the markers may have taken on a light patina, making them look like a very light gold tone. These Air-King Dates are fantastic Rolex watches. This Date-variety of Air-King was sold mainly in Canada and Commonwealth countries only. The date is the feature making it uncommon; as the regular and common Air-Kings do not have the date. The automatic winding Rolex caliber 1520 movement was just cleaned and is accurate. I believe these Rolex Air-King Date watches will increase in value over time due to being uncommon and great-looking on the wrist.
