Description
Here is an interesting and uncommon vintage, 1970s Croton Aviator Sea Diver chronograph in spectacular overall condition! The 38.5mm stainless steel case, having a screw back, polished pushers, lugs, and turning bezel is all quite fine and sparkling! The Valjoux 7765 manual winding movement just sparkles after a recent cleaning and overhaul with all functions operating like silk! Also, please note that when the crown is pulled out to the first position, a quickset date feature is offered. Note the interesting and uncommon positions of the top chronograph register at 12:00 (having a red five-minute countdown track) and the date aperture appearing in a chronograph-register circle, which is very uncommon to see! The matte-black dial is all original, having grey chronograph registers with concentric circles, white baton timing hands, and steel baton hour and minute hands. This fine swiss-made chronograph comes with a great-looking, black stitched leather padded band, which perfectly completes the look.
