Description
This is an extremely rare Rodania 1970s professional dive watch that was designed to be water-resistant to 900m! This is the first time we have ever encountered one of these. We obtained this watch directly from Switzerland. The massive case measures 45.5x49mm lug-to-lug and is 14.5mm thick! This watch is more in line with the size of a Panerai. The case has never been polished and the edges are as sharp as a razor. The original thick, sapphire crystal is spotless. The vibrant yellow, grey, and black dial reminds me of the Omega Seamaster 200 Banana dial, which leads me to believe that this watch appeared just after 1970. The winding crown is a screw down and the movement comes out (like the Omega Ploprof) from the front. The original unidirectional bezel is also similar to the Ploprof. We just had the Rodania automatic movement cleaned by our Rolex-approved watchmaker.
