We purchased this amazing-looking 1970s Squale 2001 Saphir Eagle Star vintage dive watch from the original owner and it came with the original box. The owner was a professional diver who only wore it during working dives in the Great Lakes and a couple of times for pleasure dives in the Caribbean. He purchased the watch at a local dive shop here in London, Ontario. Since the watch was not banged around from daily use, it is extremely well-preserved. Look at the incredible original blue dial with vanilla lume matching on the hands and dial. The stainless steel case measures 40mm across and 44mm top to bottom. The original screw-down crown is installed. This preserved original French-made steel stretch bracelet is amazing and came with this watch. This bracelet allows the wearer to fasten it over a dive suit cuff or on the wrist and it will snap in place anywhere along the bracelet. This bracelet is amazing on its own. The ETA 2783 25-jewel movement is keeping time well. The bakelite bezel is without any major flaws or crazing. This vintage dive watch was designed to be waterproof to 1000m. I can’t stress how fantastic this watch looks on the wrist.
