1971 Bulova Accutron World Time

Description

This circa 1971 Bulova Accutron is quite interesting and exotic, measuring a very large 41mm across without the winding crowns. Both crowns are signed and original, with the top crown being an adjuster for the inner rotating world-time bezel. The day/date offers a quickset feature for ease. The dial is really quite exotic, having orange, taupe, black, and blue accents that are in all-original condition. This colour combination provides a wonderful vintage appeal! The Accutron movement is humming away and is accurate. Bulova began developing Accutron in 1952 and they came into mass production on October 25, 1960 and were produced until 1977. Some even say the 360 cycle/second hum of an Accutron has a therapeutic and relaxing effect on the wearer. This could be due to the high magnetic field created by the vibrating crystals and coil.
