1972 King Seiko Chronometer Special 5245-6000

Description

This 1972 King Seiko Chronometer ref. 5245-6000 in stainless steel is a stellar example of an early vintage high-beat ref. 5245 Seiko. The high-grade 28,800 chronometer movement was just serviced and is accurate. These are extremely special watches made in the Grand Seiko factory. This black dial version is rather uncommon; with the dial being pristine and having silver, gilt printing. I love the thin and stylized sword style hands. These watches are so cool, because there is an external-movement-regulation screw located on the outside of the case beside the lower left lug. There is also a quick-set date feature with the crown pulled to the first position. The signed and correct winding crown is present. The fabulous condition of the 35.5mm case looks spectacular and appears unpolished. I believe these watches are undervalued due to their very fine overall production quality.
