Description
Here is a very uncommon ref. 5700, Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King-Date Precision with box and papers dating to 1971 but was sold in 1972, as seen in the papers. This is an uncommon variety of the Air-King that was sold mainly in Canada and Commonwealth countries only. The date is the feature making it uncommon, as the regular and common Air-Kings do not have the date. The 35mm stainless steel case is extremely clean. The original and uncommon slate-grey dial is excellent, having raised, shimmering steel baton markers and matching hands. The automatic winding caliber 1520 movement was just meticulously cleaned and overhauled by our Rolex-trained watchmaker and is keeping excellent time. This watch is very hard to find. I believe these are a smart investment-grade watch due to them being so uncommon – especially with box and papers.
