Description
This is a rare, and huge vintage, circa 1972 Breitling Navitimer chronograph ref. 7806! This entire watch is all original. the Valjoux, caliber 7740 manual winding movement with offset date was just meticulously cleaned and overhauled by our watchmaker and is keeping excellent time. All functions work like silk! The stainless steel case measuring a huge 41mm across is in very good condition without major dings or damage for its age. The rotating bezel is excellent with no dings and an original Breitling winding crown, polished lugs, and pushers, which are all very clean. The original dial is very clean – the only marks are in the silver sub-registers with usual and original darkening of the markers at the five-minute positions – nothing detracting on this dial! All the hands are original and have never been replaced. The rotating bezel inserts are usually worn on these watches from moisture. This bezel is all original and extremely clean! This version of the Navitimer is considered the best looking of all references due to the large sub-registers and large cases. These 7806 Navitimer watches were only produced for three years and most are in poor condition or, their dials and bezels are refinished.
