1972 Bulova Accutron In 14k Gold

Description

This is a very interesting-looking 14k solid-gold Bulova Accutron measuring 31.5×37.5mm lug-to-lug and is not very light, but a decent amount of gold. The original dial, as you can see, is really quite vibrant and unique. The ‘buzzing’ Bulova Accutron movement was just cleaned and is accurate. This was designed as a mens watch, but is an ideal size for a lady as well. Bulova began developing the Accutron in 1952 and they came into mass production on October 25, 1960 and were produced until 1977. Some even say that the 360 cycle/second hum of an Accutron has a therapeutic and relaxing effect on the wearer. This could be due to the high magnetic field created by the vibrating crystals and coil.
