1972 Rolex Oysterdate Rare Vertical Line Slate Dial

Description

This is a very uncommon 1972 Rolex ref. 6694 Oysterdate due to its rare vertical-line-slate dial. This original dial shade is quite uncommon; plus the vertical line paint application makes this a very collectable and sought-after vintage Rolex. The dial really catches the light and is further highlighted by the steel-with-tritium-baton markers and hands. This 34mm stainless-steel Rolex Oyster case appears to be unpolished and very fine. The case rear signed 1971 and the 2.9 million serial number dates the watch to 1972. This date difference is correct and common in the Rolex production from this era; as it is well-known and documented that Rolex used older case backs very often. The manual winding Rolex caliber 1225 movement is keeping very accurate time after a service. This is a very sleek and striking watch on the wrist. A correct Rolex Oyster bracelet is available here if you should decide not to wear the watch on leather alone. This pice looks amazing on the wrist. We have priced this vintage Rolex watch enticingly well.
