1973 Aquadive Time-Depth

Description

This is an uncommon Aquadive Time-Depth vintage 1973 electro-mechanical watch having a mechanical depth gauge built in! The depth gauge operates with an opening at 12:00, allowing water to enter a sealed, oil-filled copper tube, which transmits the reading to the orange hand with great accuracy. This is a professional tool watch, so, its construction is something to marvel! The watch is huge – measuring 46.5x53mm and 18.5mm thick with mineral-original glass crystal (scratchless). The crown is original! The movement is electro-mechanical (part electric, part mechanical), reliable, and fine high-frequency electronic Benrus (Dynotron) 1970s, which has just been cleaned and is keeping accurate time. This is one huge chunk of stainless steel on the wrist, and very cool! We are including the original magazine ad from 1973 that is suitable for framing. Often, the depth gauges on these watches are not working due to watchmakers removing the tube. This one was tested with a pressure tester and is functioning. Because this is a vintage watch, do not swim or submerge this piece. Due to its age, water resistance cannot be guaranteed.
