Description
This ref. 5500 34mm 1977 vintage Rolex Air-King Date is a fine package. This watch even comes with a period-correct riveted 1976 Rolex Oyster bracelet. The original slate grey dial looks fabulous with its stardust patina pattern. All the lume plots remain. The fine automatic winding Rolex movement was cleaned two years ago and is accurate. The Rolex Air-King was marketed only in the Commonwealth countries, making it much less common than the regular Oyster Perpetual Air-Kings we normally see. The entire watch displays very fine overall condition and is without any major dings or scratches. You have to see how cool this slate grey dial looks on the wrist! These vintage Rolex Air-King Dates with uncommon dials are becoming hard to find these days.
