CANDINO Submarine

Click pic above for more detail

SOLD

This is a very striking and uncommon CANDINO SUBMARINE automatic winding watch measuring 36.5mm. across in stainless steel. Amazingly. this watch (from the early 1960’s) was marked waterproof to 800 feet; even outdoing the ROLEX SUBMARINER at 660 ft. The original gllt dial with sword hands and luminous markers and sweep seconds looks amazing. The turning bezel and signed crown are both original. The 25 jewel automatic movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. This watch was sold to me by a Canadian Naval serviceman who served in Victoria British Columbia as a Naval diver for the Canadian military. He dove with this watch fror 10 years, then bought his “dream” watch-a Rolex Submariner. He recently became afflicted with cancer, his wife divorced him-took the Submariner as part of a settlement. He believes he has little time remaining and sold me this Naval dive watch. I hope you wear this proudly as he once did.
