This circa 1968, GIGANTIC 40.5x49mm (14.5mm. thick) stainless steel VALJOUX 72, ENICAR racing chronograph is a rare find with box and papers! The massive stainless (signed) case with bayonet style back, original winding crown, beveled lugs polished bezels and pushers is very fine. The original eye-grabbing two-tone dial with large silver sub-seconds registers, white, inner tachymeter bezel, luminous, baton hands and markers and orange sweep and chrono hand is as fine and exotic as you will ever find. This watch is powered by the legendary VALJOUX 72 movement; which is used in the older ROLEX DAYTONA CHRONOGRAPHS. This movement was meticulously cleaned and is running accurately. This watch exudes a masculine appearance on the wrist due to the formidable size. The striking colour scheme on this exotically alluring dial is the finest we’ve ever seen on an ENICAR. Notice the expensive rally style orange stitched matching band. The inner and outer original box and ENICAR guarantee complete this rare package. We own another of these watches and are keeping one in our “long hold collection” as we feel they will be increasing in value in the future.
