This is an early attempt to produce a different type of waterproof case. This large, stainless steel early 1940’s HOVERTA is fastened with two screws, providing a more secure case seal. The curved steel case measures a wide 28.5x39mm. and provides much wrist coverage. We love the original dial on this watch; being two-tone and evenly aged; it really catches the eye and exemplifies the look of vintage watch from the early 40’s! Notice the red sweep seconds and Dauphine hands. The steel case is very uncommon to find; being curved and having a wide bezel. The manual winding SWISS movement was just cleaned and is accurate. This watch exudes a great vintage look! Like all vintage watches-keep this away from water!
