Description
This 1984 vintage Cartier is for the lady collector. These early ’80s Cartier are quite interesting because of the various colours in the Le Must collection from that era. This original brown dial is rather uncommon. Most of these early dials developed crazing (crackling) in the laquer over the years and is visible on an angle on this watch. This watch has some marks in the original sapphire crystal. These gold-plate over sterling-silver cases were a classic and small-sized 21x28mm with an easy-to-read dial. There is very light wear to the lug ends which is barely visible. The original cabochon-tipped winding crown is still present. The band and buckle are a generic replacement and look very good on this watch. Another positive aspect that adds collectable value to these Le Must series, is the manual winding (mechanical) signed Cartier movement; as opposed to the battery operated quartz in the later models. This movement was just serviced and is accurate. This ladies Cartier is uncommon to find with the original box and purchase card.
