Le Jour Vintage PVD coated chronograph

Here is a vintage 1970’s Le Jour Swiss chronograph measuring 40.5mm. in a PVD coated stainless steel case. I really like how the even wear and patina on the case and bracelet has lent this watch a great vintage look overall. The watch has a Porsche design PVD bracelet and signed winding crown. The crystal is mineral glass. The black dial is original with the coffee aged luminous. The automatic winding Valjoux 7750 was recently cleaned and is accurate with the chronograph functioning properly. We often see these cases and movements signed by “Itica” such as this example. Le Jour was as a French distributor of watches in the early 1960s, and eventually started selling watches under their own name. Le Jour became a distributor for Heuer in Europe and Yema in the United States. Le Jour was known for its automobile racing style chronographs. Believe me…in person, the PVD case and bracelet with patina make this watch look VERY cool!
