Longines Valjoux 726 Paul Newman dial from 1969

We think these vintage LONGINES chronographs are undervalued at present. This dazzling and large 1969 VALJOUX 726 (based on the Valjoux 72) Longines chronograph, measuring 42mm., with exotic and pleasing black and orange (original) dial; having orange minute chapter and white chronograph registers is in fabulous overall shape. Notice the left (signed) crown that rotates the inner bezel. The manual winding Valjoux 726 is accurate, just cleaned and keeping time. The VALJOUX 72 is one of the finest chronographs movement EVER produced. As you may know, the Valjoux 72 was used in the ROLEX Paul Newman Daytona for a bit. The stainless steel case has the original finish with only a minor ding on the lower right lug. The original mineral glass crystal has minor marks. Notice the original LONGINES winding crown and original LONGINES bracelet. I am calling this a “Paul Newman” dial due to the font of the sub-registers being the same as the P.N. Daytona. The original baton hands retain the original lume with only a “dot” amount missing in the hour hand. Love it. I’ll wear it if you won’t. $2750.
